Our financing, training, and market access programs empower local producers to overcome production and income challenges.One promising solution to increase farmers' incomes involves restoring degraded lands by implementing conservation practices. This includes generating income for smallholder farmers through carbon credits by planting native tree species and protecting existing trees.At Sommalife, I am responsible for establishing partnerships and promoting sustainability to support women, who are the cornerstone of these rural families.

For my MSc Sustainable Energy Technology, I conducted a graduate research project at Shell focussing on underground hydrogen storage in an offshore depleted gas reservoir. The objective of the research was to address the existing knowledge gap in academic research on integrating an offshore hydrogen storage platform in the Dutch North Sea to buffer intermittent offshore green hydrogen production, while considering maximum re-useability of existing natural gas infrastructure.
