In these projects, the surroundings play the role of a fascinating and limitless work area, while the user occupies centre stage at all times.

BLINDING EARTH is an art project that follows the tradition of striking land art projects by renowned artists such as Cristo and Jeanne-Claude, Walter de Maria, Dennis Oppenheim, Michael Heizer, Richard Fleischner and Robert Smithson, which varied from constructing a 40-kilometre running fence made of nylon fabric that cleaved through rolling hills to redesigning landscapes by means of bulldozers.The use of artificial lighting has not played an important role in the land art tradition up to now. But that is about to change. BLINDING EARTH is a monumental land art project that utilises artificial lighting, such as architectural lighting, to illuminate four different landscapes in a unique way. By means of LED light given off by advanced light sources with high or intense capacities, various natural objects will be illuminated. Four different types of landscape have been selected for this project, from rugged mountain massifs in Switzerland, and icebergs in Greenland to the Oman desert and Brazilian rainforest. In addition, the project is entirely interactive and cross-media. This means that it will be promoted on various media platforms, thus enhancing the overall experience.

Not everyone is a mountaineer and does not have the ambition to reach the top of Mount Everest (8,840 meters). However, there are a lot of people who would like to achieve a personal sporting goal. With the fantastic metaphor of climbing the world's highest mountain, we have developed a platform where everyone can achieve their own sporting goal. The highlight is a national Your Everest day, where everyone can actually 'climb' their goal in practice. At the same time, the metaphor is shaped by an expedition to Mount Everest, where there is an open registration and we work towards the very best team to accomplish this climb.

Joost was an associate professor of cross-media didactics at the IJsselgroep and Iselinge Hogeschool. In his role, he was responsible for research into the connection between media and education and the initiation of innovative learning methods. With his film ISE2020, he almost poetically allowed teacher ISE to research her motives for teaching in education. Joost also developed the convergence model, in which content in education, media, knowledge and storytelling merge into a new form of narrative education.

Lead character Gaia is one of those distant relativesin search of Blackbeard's secrets. She cannot hunt alone, so she calls on the rest of us to help inher exciting mission. But only the best player will be rewarded by the society. The scene is setfor a bitter struggle…The Blackbeard Connection is a fully multimedia project, using four different platforms:television, the internet, mobile telephony and print in the form of newspapers and magazines.As a player, you can draw upon all of these as you move step by step towards the solution toan intriguing mystery over 30 days.
