ERTICO – ITS Europe is the European public-private partnership organisation with over 120 members, connecting 8 different sectors in the ITS Community, including service providers, suppliers, traffic and transport industry, research institutions and universities, public authorities, user organisations, connectivity industry as well as vehicle manufacturers. ERTICO – ITS Europe was founded in 1991 at the initiative of 15 industry leaders and the European Commission to fill the gap between research and deployment of mobility services on roads. In the past two decades, ERTICO ran dozens of European projects, organised over 40 ITS European and World Congresses, grew from 15 to over 120 Partners, undertook a key role in public consultations and policy agendas, and established long-term relations with key players in Europe, United States of America, Japan, Russia, and China.

The Mobility as a Service (MaaS) Alliance is a European public-private partnership creating the foundations for a common approach to MaaS in Europe and beyond. Mobility as a Service (MaaS) is the integration of various forms of transport services into a single mobility service accessible on demand. To meet a customer’s request, a MaaS operator facilitates a diverse menu of transport options, be they public transport, ride-, car- or bike-sharing, taxi or car rental/lease, or a combination thereof. For the user, MaaS can offer added value through use of a single application to provide access to mobility, with a single payment channel instead of multiple ticketing and payment operations. The main goal of our Alliance is to facilitate a single, open market and full deployment of intermodality services. The organisation includes 45 members from the industry, authorities, mobility clubs, and research institutes.
