I have been engaged in Business Development and Community Relations since I was a teenager and helped my parents run our family business in Bountiful, Utah. That early commitment to success on Main Street led me to more than 25 years of economic development and community advocacy experience with small businesses, corporations, non-profits, and municipalities. In addition to my education policy role at the Salt Lake Chamber, I am in my third term as a member of the Bountiful City Council and RDA Board. I am also serve on many economic development associations and community councils throughout Utah. I am a communications and political science graduate from the University of Utah. I write and post frequently on the topics of economic development, business improvement and grass-roots community engagement. I am married to Wendy (Bird) Pitt, a 6th grade teacher and tireless advocate for well educated children. We have three grown children.
