As the Group Information Systems Manager, I have a deep understanding of both the supply and demand side of transport.I consult, advise and deliver optimal data analytics, information systems, and processes for Greendoor Group, part of the J&J Africa Group and companies, specializing in transport and logistics.By ensuring the integration of our business needs with information systems, we are able to analyze information across all departments and companies, and visualize the desired outputs and processes, to provide the organization with the best end-to-end solutions, throughout the entire supply chain.Our solutions are implemented vertically and horizontally, with due control of analysis, development, quality testing, and final delivery, to assure our Group’s efficiency and performance is maximized under the helm of its systems.

I am the Customer Success Team Leader, where J&J Transport Africa group, is the Customer.I am responsible for our In-house software package; overseeing the design and development and maintaining and managing it from an early stage.Our systems cover the entire transport supply chain, providing the client with reliable, fast and hassle-free service.The scope of my responsibilities:- Scrum Master in charge of a 10-member developer team (http://www.softwareassociates.in/) based in India, with an additional 3 on-site team at all times, working on the Agile/Scrum methodology.- Freight Operation Management with more than 12 different transporters, over 1400 trucks, in 5 different countries, using the same system, catering to their individual needs to operate efficiently and effectively.- Logistics Management providing full reporting to the customer, control of Customs clearance processes, Port and inland terminal procedures, from receiving inquiries all the way to invoicing.- Workshop, stores and spares/inventory management ensuring that all parts are available on time and managed properly.- Value-added services include online tracking and dashboards (SaaS free of charge) providing the customers with their own document submittal, tracking and cargo management facilities.- Data mining to find areas of inefficiencies and for optimization of SOPs, as well as designing system generated reports used for day to day functionality, with core objectives on revenue, turnaround times and minimizing delays.- Business analysis and gathering of intelligence to identify opportunities for improvement in our operations and processes, interacting with the stakeholders and HODs in order to understand their problems and needs.- In charge of managing and controlling system user rights for all users, as well as to eliminate any problems, faults or issues which are out the hands of the general user.

- Customer/Consignee liaison and implementation of customer specific requirements.- Resolve customer problems pertaining to clearing and forwarding, in-house logistics, transportation, shipping line, customs and customer related issues.- Focus on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations, systems, policies, and procedures.- Assisting and supervising of warehousing, import/export transport logistics, and related operations.- Communication of freight and logistics information with aid of electronic systems to enhance efficiency, productivity and customer satisfaction.- Part time designing, controlling and coordinating the development of our centralized in-house software package (FMS - http://www.freightmanagementsystem.com/). This includes Freight Management, Customs, Logistics, Warehousing, Stores, Workshop, Finance, Accounts, and HR modules.- Daily involvement and communication with Port authorities in streamlining operations.- Logistics cost approval and accounting channel controlling.

- Tasked with the TIB(Truck in a box)/CKD(completely knocked down) production and exports.- Overseeing of all TIB production lines, Monitoring efficiency and constraints in the throughput.- WIS (Werker Informationssysteme) projects entailing mostly development and assisting with 80/20 projects
