About Jordana Cohen
I get super geeked out about media, entertainment, and the ongoing shifts in content consumption and media platforms. For me, it’s all about making authentic connections between people and their favorite brands: understanding the customer journey and building a kick-ass itinerary for their trip. That means creating more than just banner ads or 15 second TV spots. I cut my teeth in the real world running educational centers, where I excelled in business management: budgeting, sales, marketing, staff management, etc. But I missed being in a creative environment and made the shift to mtvU, MTV’s college channel.While at mtvU I was introduced to integrated marketing and branded content, and saw how these cross-brand partnerships create real two-way conversations and connections with consumers. It’s marketing where you don’t feel “marketed” to. When trying to reach millennial college students that was no small feat, but wildly engaging when done right. I decided that I wanted a deeper dive in marketing strategy—and I love to learn—so I headed to the Kellogg School of Management to earn my MBA in marketing and media management. Since then I've been focused on mobile marketing because, let’s face it- mobile is the future of pretty much everything. When I’m not at the office I’m writing about food, quoting The Simpsons, or throwing kicks as a budding capoeirista.
