Last year CLIC Sargent supported 132 families in Devon and a further 64 families in Cornwall who had a child with cancer, helping them cope and get the most out of life and this is why having local support is so important. We support these families by providing a wide range of services including a Social Worker, Specialist Nurses, Homes from Homes, Grants as well as our Holiday Home. Show less

My position is maternity cover until the end of 2015.As the only community fundraiser at ELF my position involves ensuring that every third party event is supported. This can be through advice and guidance, help with the organisation of the event as well as designing and providing promotional materials. I am in charge of the distribution and managing of the merchandise that we sell and send to our third party events.I control the distribution and collection of over 200… Show more My position is maternity cover until the end of 2015.As the only community fundraiser at ELF my position involves ensuring that every third party event is supported. This can be through advice and guidance, help with the organisation of the event as well as designing and providing promotional materials. I am in charge of the distribution and managing of the merchandise that we sell and send to our third party events.I control the distribution and collection of over 200 collection boxes as well as maintaining the relationships of the people and organisations that hold them. I also control the banking of our collection boxes, third party events and individual donations. As part of my role I manage three community support groups. This involves providing them with advice and guidance regarding fundraising legislations, designing of promotional materials, attending planning meetings prior to events across Devon and keeping them up to date with the most recent charity news and developments. I ensure awareness and information of ELF is available in the local community, including building and maintaining good relationships with local schools and Exeter University. I ensure that our database is kept up to date with correct and current information with regards to personal details, donations (including gift aid declarations) and maintaining good communication between our donors and the charity.
