I enjoy learning about and becoming a subject matter expert of complex digital and mechanical systems. Seeing how things work and then being able to use that knowledge to help others is fulfilling and rewarding. I am always on the lookout to expand my knowledge and master new systems.In my current work with Anton Paar, I am using my years of previous experience in field service in the medical industry and applying it to the world of metrology. Being on the ground floor of many different industries in both quality control and research applications utilizing Anton Paar instruments has been an absolute joy in seeing the diverse applications of core engineering principles. In my work as a Global Technical Trainer with BD, specializing in cytological preparatory and analytical equipment, I got the opportunity to truly dig down into a deeper and complete understanding of the instrumentation and systems I was assigned to expand the training program on. Utilizing my prior experience as a field service engineer, I was able to apply a valuable perspective to building out training program materials with practical applications of the many complex principles of operations and procedures for instrumentation. Prior to working with BD, I served 6 years in the Navy as a Nuclear Electronics Technician on a forward deployed submarine in Guam. I enjoyed the challenges of the fast paced and dynamic work environment, and finding creative solutions. The need for maintaining a high level of knowledge and perfect execution of system repair and operations was a challenging, but rewarding experience.
