I am currently a college student at UTSA pursuing an undergraduate in Marketing. I am a volunteer for Habitat Humanity, where I help counsel the homeless. My responsibilities include helping families learn about the home purchasing process and how to maintain a proper budget so they can save for their future home. I am hoping to land a full-time job with them, to gain all the experience I can. I want to use my experience and build homes in third world countries for homeless families.At a young age I started Volunteering at my church, preparing school lunches and handing out school supplies for children that could not afford neither. I just finished volunteering in Fort Worth, TX for a foundation called C-N-C, where we provided coffee and clothes for the homeless. I am blessed to say that I have a gift to help. I feel it is my duty to use that gift to take care of humanity anyway I can. To keep my spirit fresh and my heart driven, I constantly keep myself alert to anybody in need no matter the condition.Being a “plumbers’ son” I have developed the skill of plumbing over the years. I also have experience in carpentry and building construction. Not only have I learned to be skillful with my hands, I have learned to discipline myself to be dependable and to work until completion. Plumbing and construction jobs have taught me to have a vision of the finished product and simply get it done no matter what. I feel that is a big attribute to have when it comes to building homes for people in need. While taking the steps to live out my dream, I will make sure to always stay humble and available. Through that, I will have my hard-working spirit and skills there to help people in need.
