Throughout my career I have been working in the civil engineering field on both the contractor and designer sides of the business. My journey in this career has been a positive experience due in large part to the managers who have pushed me to be at my best, the mentors who invested their time in my development, and the colleagues I have had the pleasure of working with.At National Water Main Cleaning Company, I worked as a project manager for a relatively new division in a long-established company. During my time there, I found myself working side by side with Engineering firms, Municipal entities, and the finest pipe lining crews in the region. At NWMCC I was given the independence to manage the projects I was assigned and gained a reputation for being effective. By the time I left NWMCC to pursue a PE license with Mott MacDonald I was running multiple projects, putting together large bid proposals, and had developed a software for the company to estimate jobs more efficiently.At Mott MacDonald, I gained experience performing design work and found my experience on the contractor side of things very helpful. I was fortunate to be given exposure to a wide variety of designs pertaining to the structural, geotechnical, civil, waste water, tunnel and marine aspects of projects. Over the years I developed an appreciation of geo-structural engineering and in the past few years I have been working for a structural & tunneling department performing these sorts of designs. While at MM I earned an MS in Civil Engineering and became a registered Professional Engineer in the State of New Jersey. By the time I left Mott MacDonald to pursue Project Management at Remington & Vernick Engineers I was managing a design team and acting as a technical liaison for major tunneling projects.At RVE I have been able to utilize my experience to manage multi-disciplinary projects, work with staff to ensure that designs are performed correctly, and manage clients to ensure a fresh backlog of projects.
