The Senior Developer - Mixed Realities will be responsible for developing AR and VR platforms and content, including web-based and application program development for multiple Vocational Education (VE) and training (VET) program development projects. The Senior Developer - Mixed Realities will play a vital role in ensuring that the development of the digital learning resources are consistent, high quality and developed within the required timelines and the scope of the projects. The position works closely with the STEM College, external developers, the RMIT development community and key stakeholders. The Senior Developer - Mixed Realities will work with the VE Learning & Teaching Team and content developers required to build digital assets required by each project. This position plays a vital role in digital learning and designing the digital resources for integration within courses containing other digital assets presented through the LMS. The role will also be responsible for training teaching staff and end users in the use of mixed reality programs.

The position will facilitate the implementation of key gameplay, subsystems and multiplayer featuresinto the VR anatomy project and Safety at Work project under the supervision and guidance of the project leads. The position will undertake programming needed to create animation, game development, AR and VR content and systems (e.g. CG sets, avatars, environments) for EMD internal research projects. The position also involves participation in and preparation of materials for presentations and demonstrations relating to EMD research projects, and for use in publications and to document projects, along with events designed to lead to further development of projects including generating new grants and industry partnerships.
