• Excel in the role of Production Engineer for the Spectrum TV App on Roku at Charter; this entails managing the Git repository, building and packaging the app, and submitting it to Roku for publication. • Monitor the app in production, manage configuration files and experiments, and triage issues in production. • Track the performance and health of systems, applications, and services, and troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.• Identify and address performance bottlenecks in production software.• Create and maintain documentation for production systems, including code documentation, system architecture, and deployment procedures.• Implement and adhere to security best practices in the development and deployment of software. • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, quality assurance, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.• Contribute to the nationwide CDN migration for our IP Video clients, facilitating the transition from in-house servers to third-party CDNs.• Implement and oversee promotional App Launch Takeovers to stimulate video package upgrades, resulting in tens of thousands of upgrades and substantial increases in recurring revenue.• Play a key role in driving metric performance, surpassing yearly improvement goals for Mean Opinion Score, App Entry, API Composite, and Customer Impact Ratio.• Facilitate the transition of the video codec type from AVC to HEVC, leading to a significant improvement in Mean Opinion Score and Customer Impact Ratio for HEVC streams.• Assist in migrating video guide data calls from POST to GET calls, leveraging CloudFront Edge Caching for guide data. This initiative enhances resilience, reduces service load and costs, and improves response times.• Accountable for helping achieve a noteworthy overall +13% increase in viewership in 2023, with 6.4 billion watch hours compared to 5.6 billion in 2022.
