As the store manager my role was to oversee all of the daily operations and to make sure all product is merchandised correctly. Additionally, my responsibilities include opening and closing,staffing and scheduling, targeted training, measuring results for the store and for the team, demonstrating the skills to move up within the management team, and making sure that we are obtaining our sales goals as a team and individually.

As the first assistant manager my job was to assist my store manger in overseeing the daily store operations, as well as opening and closing, maximizing store sales results through selling, maintaining, and covering all zones in the store. I was to train our second assistants on how to work through people, product, and profit based on the stores needs and wants while maintaining outstanding customer service.

Additionally, it was my responsibility to show them how Zumiez sells through our 7 steps and techniques.
