Test Program Specialist
I performed many roles in support of the creation of thermal-hydraulic data on the scaled NuScale Integral System Test (NIST) facility. As a Test Engineer, I lead test programs to simulate transient scenarios, including the creation of testing schedules, facility configuration, procedure development, instrument calibration, instrument procurement, data evaluation, etc.- Interface directly with test sponsors to create test program descriptions and specifications and ensure that both technical and scheduling requirements are met.- Create deliverables (i.e. final test reports, baseline configuration descriptions, etc.) to meet schedule milestones. - Direct technicians completing tasks concerning maintenance of test facility and instrumentation, and test performance.- Collaborate with technicians to install, calibrate, and configure valves and instrumentation such as pressure transducers, thermocouples/RTDs, vortex and Coriolis flow meters, electrical heater rods, and variable speed pumps.- Analyze test performances and instrumentation for possible nonconformances, and propose corrective action(s) to restore compliance with requirements.- Provide training on procedure implementation and compliance concerning facility operation, safety, corrective action reporting, and document control.- Write, review, and implement work procedures with adherence to an INPO 12 012 safety culture.- Assist in bi annual internal surveillances and assessments.- Perform pre-job and post-job safety meetings.- Assess individuals following tests on safety and performance, and provide suggestions on improvements.- Assist in external audits, including NRC audits and inspections.- Write, follow, and train individuals on emergency response procedures and protocols.- Create, conduct, and analyze tests under NQA-1 2008/2009a compliant quality program.- Procure instrumentation and calibration services under ISO 17025:2005/2017 adherent Commercial Grade Dedication Program.
