As a Senior AI Engineer at Jua, I lead teams, infrastructure, and experimentation processes to push the boundaries of machine learning for weather forecasting. This includes:• Driving the adoption of a research-driven experimentation methodology, fostering innovation and iterative improvements.• Leading the model team by setting and achieving OKRs, ensuring accountability, and overseeing the development and release of new ML models, including EPT-1.5 and EPT-2.• Managing and optimizing cluster infrastructure, including Terraform development, resolving NCC errors, and preparing Docker images for efficient large-scale training.• Leading high-performance computing (HPC) cluster pilots, managing resources across up to 1,000 GPUs (H100, H200) from various cloud providers to identify Jua’s optimal solution.• Supporting investor relations and government funding efforts by contributing to due diligence documentation.• Co-leading technical interviews to evaluate and onboard new talent, helping shape the future of Jua’s AI team.

At Jua, I contributed to cutting-edge research and development of weather forecasting models, collaborating with a high-performing team in Zurich to tackle complex challenges. This includes:• Designed and implemented weather forecasting and upsampling algorithms using TensorFlow and PyTorch, focusing on Transformers and GANs.• Recognized as a top performer, earning relocation to the research base in Zurich.• Founded and led Jua’s Research Club to explore emerging research, break down concepts, and drive experimentation ideas.• Played a key role in developing Jua’s flagship model, Earth Physics Transformer 1 (EPT-1).

As a member of the onboard squad, I have developed features for the naked web and mobile applications, to improve the customer acquisition. I was also responsible for improving the company's SEO technical performance. We reduced the loading speed of the website by 2x by moving from Netlify to Firebase, a hosting platform which supported a global CDN. I was responsible for setting up the company’s MLOPS process, hosted and run on AWS through AWS SageMaker with cross account data ingestion and model integration. I was responsible for extending the company's serverless architecture and graphql data layer to provide their insurance services to foreign citizens.

TOM for My Choices Foundation: I lead the development for the TOM for My Choices Foundation front end application. The evaluation is done by an AI digital expert, backed by Merlynn's proprietary technology.An Energy and Chemical Company: I was the lead developer for a security management project. This is an internal client web application, created to digitize a manual process and alleviate the bottleneck of access to finite security experts.Rapid Client POC Implementations: I was in charge of developing proof of concept applications which demonstrate the use of TOM proprietary technology in sanction screening and banking environments.

Following my honours degree, I was recruited to work at "Shandon Business Solutions" a business unit of EOH Holdings Limited. I was assigned to various data science research projects.Tutor Time Allocation: I, along with a team of four others, was assigned to solve a resource allocation project with the objective of finding the optimal allocation of tutors to students while considering various constraints.Mining Process Optimisation: I, along with a team of five others, was assigned to solve a mining process modelling project with the objective of predicting the output of various precious metals above a certain accuracy threshold.Roles and Responsibilities:I was responsible for researching and implementing solutions for optimization problems, using machine learning. The solutions I implemented included the following algorithms: Decision trees, Deep learning, Random Forests, Genetic Algorithms, and Particle Swarm Optimization.

Project 1: I was assigned to design and develop the company website, along with setting the technological foundation for development on their web application.Project 2: I was the driving the force to the companies re-branding process.
