I have been in aviation longer than I can remember. I started out my career in aviation at Kent State University. I majored in Flight Technology originally which put me on the path to becoming a pilot. Due to medical reasons I was not able to complete my instrument rating, however I was able to get my private license. I did take all the required courses for instrument flight and even passed the written exam for it. I switched my major to Aviation Management and was able to graduate on time in May of 2015. After graduating I was able to get a brief internship in Airport Operations. There I was able to get to know the inner workings of an airport and what goes into getting passengers from point A to point B safely. Safety and security were the number one goals and I got to practice this through the numerous inspections and checks I performed on a daily basis. This also allowed me to expand my customer service skills through interacting with the many passengers and users of the facility. After that I became a Technical Writer for Air Transport International. I edited and revised manuals for the airline, with a focus being on the operations side of the airline. I did work on safety and maintenance manuals as well. I was able to use and expand the knowledge I had to write the manuals. I worked with Boeing 757-200 Cargo and Combi, 767-200 Freighter, and 767-300 Freighter aircraft operating under 14 CFR 121 Supplemental Operations. I really enjoyed interacting with the various subject matter experts and overall enjoyed my experience with the airline.Outside of work or school I enjoy doing graphic design and building. I have experience with all kinds of technical material including Photoshop, AutoCAD, 3DS Max, CNC machining, production, and some work with Solidworks.
Listed skills include Aviation, Operations Management, Technical Writing, Microsoft Office, and 8 others.
