About Jordan Eck

10 years ago I started my journey. I cannot begin to describe how rewarding it is to be a nurse. Patients of short term, chronic, life alerting, debilitating and life ending injury, illness and disease. Patients of all ages and walks of life. I wish I could put it into perfect word their impact. My best attempt of a description is “love”. The experiences have surrounded me with emotion I did not know I was capable of feeling; laughter that leaves a permanent smile, bring tears in an instant and cause pain that permanently scars. Most importantly, it is worth it all. I’ve become truly aware of the world that surrounds us, how life changes in seconds and to appreciate each and every moment. Life and death are no longer what I’ve read or heard about; I experience it first hand. My profession is a gift. I am but one of the many privileged individuals hired to care for someone’s loved one. I will continue to advocate and care for patients as my own.
