La Maison de l’Horlogerie is a family owned shop in the center of Geneva specialized in vintage and pre-owned watches for more than 50 years. I am lucky to be part of it to undertake clients relations for buying and selling watches. I am also in charge of events such as our Rally des Horlogers which took place in September 2021. My duty also includes supporting the two owners in managing tasks. This experience is truly unique and gives me the opportunity to learn every day about watches which is more than a passion to me.

During the first lock down in Geneva we were at home trying to find a way of entertaining people. The idea of a cinema drive-in quickly came up. It was the best thing we could think of. It would allow people to get out of their home and have a nice time without actually being in contact with other people than their family since the stay in their car. We put the project together in three weeks and the cinema started in July 2020 for 16 nights. We encountered great success with sold out nights and amazing feedback from participants and sponsors.

In order to organise the final graduation trip for our university’s intake we created an association of which I am Vice President. The 20 members association is in charge of organizing events upstream in order to raise money for the trip and organizing the whole trip with the goal of providing the student with the best memory of their student life. About 140 students are going to take part to this trip and it is our mission to create a brilliant and smooth life experience.

For my second internship integrated in my bachelor at EHL I had the chance to work for La Maison de l’Horlogerie which is a 50 years old boutique in Geneva selling new and pre-owned watches. The family operating the business they gave me the opportunity to undertake very autonomously three main missions.The first one was evaluating pre-owned watches in order to satisfy the selling client as well as creating value for the company and always making sure that any watch bought by La Maison de l’Horlogerie reaches high quality to satisfy the futur owner of the watch. I was then also in charge of guiding clients who desire to buy a new watch. This was an amazing opportunity since it’s a world of passionated people sharing their passion. My second mission was to organise different kinds of events in our store. We put in place some events in partnership with brands in order to promote them, some events for private companies that wanted to create a one of a kind experience in a boutique. Thanks to the trust of the owners I put in place each month a “Watch Speakeasy” that was dedicated to watch enthusiasts. During those events I invited each time one or more experts from the watch industry who shared with us their expertise. The boutique also has a restaurant next to it where I organized private events as well as a Spritz bar once a week during the summer to promote it.My third mission was to organise exhibits in the shop in order to provide a different guest experience each month. I worked with a few different watch brands as well as with photographers and jewelers for this matter. I also set up a partnership which is still in place with a luxury car garage “Carugati” who lends us a different car each month that we put on display in the shop once again to provide a different experience each month.During this internship I really understood that “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life” is the most amazing thing life can bring you.

Berlin, Berlin, Germany

As part of the preparatory year at École Hoteliere de Lausanne, I did a 6 month internship in Berlin, Germany.I spent this time at Das Stue hotel which is a five star design hotel located next to the zoo of Berlin. The hotel has 78 luxurious rooms and is a mix of sophistication, cosiness and art.Following my request I was fortunate enough to be able to experience different positions in this hotel.I started with 8 weeks of waiter for breakfast and lunch in the "Casual" restaurant. I was also in charge of the VIP treatments which have to be prepared and brought to each rooms. I then did 8 weeks in the same restaurant but as part of the late shift to serve dinner. It was very interesting to see how the atmosphere changes and how the approach to the client is different as for breakfast or lunch. For the last 8 weeks of my internship I became bell boy. Again a position where the approach to the client is a lot different. It was very interesting to be the first and the last person the client sees when visiting our hotel.

After finishing the army I had some time until the beginning of the EHL. I then jumped the opportunity to do a five weeks internship at the Mandarin Oriental Geneva as a bar tender. This experience was my first step in the Hotel industry. Such an amazing opportunity to have the chance to work at the Mandarin.I learned how to behave with demanding clients, learned the high service standards of this five star hotel, how to advise a client on what he could get and how to serve food and different kinds of beverage. During this short but intense internship I realized that working in the Hotel industry is very tiring but the passion overtakes the fatigue.

Thun - Bure - Glaris

J'ai effectuer mon école de recrue de 21 semaines en tant que grenadier de chars. Nous avons commencé à la place d'arme de Thun. Ensuite, nous sommes allé à Bure ou nous avons pu mettre en pratique les techniques de combats que nous avions appris dans le village d'exercice de Nalé. Finalement, nous sommes allé dans le canton de Glaris pour faire des exercices à balles réelles.Cette école de recrue m'a permis d'approfondir mon sens de la camaraderie ce qui est indispensable afin d'arriver au bout de cette épreuve.J'ai aussi pu découvrirez certaine de mes limites physiques et mentales.Je suis très fier d'avoir accomplis mon devoir et ne doute pas de l'enrichissement que cela m'a apporté.

I've had the chance to do a one year internship at Procter & Gamble in Geneva in order to complete my Maturity diploma. (June 2014 - July 2015)I was part of the Prestige global in-store team responsible for the permanent merchandising of fragrances and cosmetics around the world.This experience helped gain confidence and professionalism. I learned to work in a team but also be more independent and proactive. I was in charge of : • The permanent merchandising catalogue which is updated quarterly in collaboration with a British design agency. • I was asked to work on a new version of this catalogue as an Ipad app. To do so I brifed a few design agencies and compared quotes. The project has unfortunately been put on hold due to budget and will be reconsidered later on. • Managing our projects on an Internet platform (Huddle). • Manager of the Prestige image library which contains about +9700 images and is updated daily. • Creating the price cards format for all our furniture which has been shared with all concerned collaborators across the world.
