Jordan Exantus, has been expanding his urban planning methods and expertise for over 19 years. He has professional experience in the public and private sectors working in the fields of urban planning, sustainability and real estate development consulting. Mr. Exantus has spent most of his career developing planning documents; writing and administering grants; managing projects; consulting; doing community engagement, coordinating between multiple agencies, jurisdictions and elected officials; staffing planning commissions and development boards; mapping; and generally “wearing a lot of hats”.  His competencies include, but are not limited to: Economic Development, Housing, Environment, Community Development, Land Use, Transportation, Public Health, Local & Regional Governance, Advocacy and Social Equity.After graduating from Cornell, Jordan worked in New York City for Gensler where he had the opportunity to contribute to several projects in the Master Planning and Consulting studios. Later, Mr. Exantus worked in Minnesota with the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians where he helped spearhead numerous planning, economic development and energy initiatives. Mr. Exantus earned his graduate degree from the University of Memphis. During his time in Tennessee, Jordan worked at the Memphis Area Association of Governments where he wrote the 2013 CEDS for Greater Memphis, while administering a number of housing programs, servicing local planning contracts and doing grant writing and economic development activites. Later, Mr. Exantus moved on to become the Director of Planning and Community Development for the Town of Somerville, TN. in 2014, Mr. Exantus moved to the Prince George’s County Planning Department as a Planner Coordinator responsible for project implementation in the central part of the county. In this role, Mr. Exantus successfully applied for over $1 million in grant funds to move the Central Avenue Connector Trail project towards implementation. In 2018, Jordan transferred to the Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation where he helped facilitate Park Planning and Development projects for the Northern Area of the County. Currently, Mr. Exantus is a Managing Associate at Nspiregreen focusing on planning, transportation, sustainability, community engagement and equity.
