I received a broad exposure to tax compliance and advisory areas for both private and public clients. Compliance work regularly involved: The preparation of financial statements, annual tax returns, and activity statements; and including daily accounts receivable processing, weekly invoice payments, processing the monthly payroll for employees, performing weekly bank reconciliations and end of month general ledger reconciliations, the preparation of comprehensive related work papers when required, and providing relevant taxation advice relating to these matters.Advisory work involved a range of important taxation areas including:Employment tax, international tax, structuring advice, research and development, and transfer pricing. Within the role I developed my research skills and competency with MYOB, Xero, and Excel. I also furthered my client correspondence skills and regularly liaised with the ATO (and other relevant bodies) surrounding taxation matters.I received a broad exposure to tax compliance and advisory areas for both private and public clients.

In this position, I referee basketball at several basketball Queensland junior competitions throughout the year, as well as senior state basketball leagues such as the NBL1. I’ve been invited to five national basketball championships on behalf of Basketball Queensland.
