Design And Research AssistantStudioapt Jun 2012 - Mar 2013I assisted John and Julia McMurrough (studioAPT) on the design of “Platform for Architecture.” The Platform is an experiment in domestic space, used as a stage set for “Makin’ It,” a half-hour situation comedy about architecture. “Makin It” was screened at the Taubman College Research Through Making Exhibition in Ann Arbor, Michigan during March 2013.My work included background research, design studies, diagrams, models, and construction drawings. I also created a brief animation advertising The Platform, screened with “Makin’ It” at the project’s exhibition. Additionally, I assisted Studio APT on summer competition entries.

Design And Fabrication AssistantMilligram Office Apr 2012 - Jun 2012I assisted on the design, fabrication, and shipment of Milligram Office’s 2012 Venice Biennale installation “Site Double.” The installation references a previous Milligram project in Detroit, translating it for exhibition in Venice’s Arsenale.My work included design studies, drawings, physical models, digital models (made in Rhinoceros 4), construction of wooden portions of the installation, and packaging the installation for shipment to Italy.
