Being the head sorter of PD 15 during the twilight shift, I am responsible for picking up packages up to 150 lbs, checking the label and then making sure it goes to the correct destination. With 7 destinations , an average of 50,000 packages a night, and a 5 hour time limit, multitasking and attention to detail are key to my position. I maintain a fast pace and have very few misloads or belt stops. I am always following safety guidelines for lifting and have passed every quiz supervision has given about safety, lifting & loading properly, and breaking jams. I also train new employees on the proper and safe way to be a pick off.
