As Marketing Associate, will work with Marketing Department to recognize and analyze market trends relevant to innovative, new initiatives such as NCAA Licensing Agreements for Birddogs apparel, growing and restructuring Birddogs' already-strong podcast advertising medium, and learning how to manage a small business through a marketing lens that can only be taught through lived experience. In this role I will learn as much as possible from my superiors at Birddogs who have brought this company from a start-up to an 8-year old superpower in the athleisure industry, and cannot wait to put my own spin on whatever initiatives come my way.

Selected to be a member of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Hispanic Honor Society - Lambda Xi Chapter at Colgate University for excellence in Spanish. Members are chosen based on GPA requirements in the Spanish department as well as dedication to the further study of the language.

Elected warden by building trusting relationships with all members, efficiently executed regular chapter meetings, and collaborated with other executive members and alumni to ensure operations run smoothly.

Organized the 2020 and 2021 fall schedules, worked with local high school administrators to secure field times, and held bi-weekly practices en route to two Colonial Club Baseball Association championships for the Colgate Club Baseball team. Acted as manager on game days by making lineups and substitutions while maintaining the fields we played on afterwards.

I Identified optimal matchups & athlete bookings using Google sheets for streaming service that allows fans to watch TV sports alongside professional athletes as well as performing extensive research to determine optimal markets for partnerships and sponsors. I also helped negotiate contracts with athletes and agents through Zoom meetings.

Founded a successful start-up company through Colgate’s Thought Into Action program (TIA) that required a thoughtful and unique business plan to deliver affordable, comfortable, and guaranteed rides to and from the Syracuse airport to campus for 300+ students, alumni, and parents. Raised over $1,600 in revenue in our first year with 10% profit margins on single rides and 20% margins on group rides.Recruited 93+ student employees by promoting Raider Rides on Instagram, Facebook and throughout campus, while creating surveys to gauge interest, driver and rider forms for easy scheduling, spreadsheets for data collection, and social media pages to reach customers.

During game days, gained valuable experience with the Yankees High-A minor league affiliate by manning the box office and will-call booths, setting up and tearing down the stadium before and after games, and participating in on-field activities during inning breaks. During non-game days, participated in a company-wide sales competition for a specific July 31st game where I emailed, called, and networked with organizations and professionals to purchase 213 tickets, the most for any intern, totaling $5,300. Developed lead lists for potential group outings with local businesses in the Tri-State Area and represented the Renegades with our mascot Rascal, free giveaways, and other gameday information. Worked with local clients to activate their brands at Dutchess Stadium, selling two advertising stations for $500 each. Also researched ideal brand partnerships and learned how to properly make a sale over the phone, email, and in person.

Managed athletic operations at a 7-week summer camp for kids aged 5-11 by organizing a week-long color war and helping with daily camp operations by communicating with parents and senior staff to help create a fun and engaging environment.

Working Monday-Friday from 8:30-3:30 for seven weeks, supervised activities such as football, baseball, and basketball for second graders while also instilling habits of sharing and teamwork in order to foster greater cooperation skills for the future.

Supervised workouts for kids aging from elementary to high school age by teaching proper technique and form to help become better athletes. Shadowed licensed personal trainers with expertise in strength training in order to gain an education in bodily fitness and endurance.

Devised, analyzed, and created decision-making paradigms by learning under Dr. Ifat Levy. Gained research and lab experience from 10am-4pm for five weeks while researching the correlation between gray matter prevalence in the Left Posterior Parietal Cortex and risk tolerance in adolescents.
