He has over seven years of experience in the energy field across roles in government, academia, and advisory services, and has published articles and spoken at international conferences in Qatar, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand. He is currently a manager in the energy and climate practice of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) where he plays a leading role in the institute's work accelerating the energy transition and climate action in the Asia Pacific region. In this role he served as an embedded advisor in a Deputy Minister's office to advance Indonesia's US$ 20 Bn Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) agreement, model decarbonization pathways for Indonesia's power sector, and design an electric vehicle incentive program (which was successfully implemented in March 2023). Previously, Jordan lived in Qatar where he worked as a consultant in McKinsey & Company and a fellow at Qatar University. While there Jordan led coverage of the middle east for McKinsey's sustainability and energy transition research team, created hydrogen strategies for major energy producing countries and companies, and developed decarbonization roadmaps for national oil and chemicals companies in the middle east and southern Africa.
