I am an attorney and managing member at Childs McCune, LLC in Denver, Colorado. My practice focuses on product liability defense, outdoor recreational industry / ski industry defense, and complex commercial litigation throughout the State of Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West. I bring in-depth knowledge to my clients who face high-stakes litigation in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West, which is aided by the fact that I am the author of the book on Colorado product liability law, “Product Liability Law & Procedure in Colorado,” First Ed. (CLE in Colo., Inc. 2015). I've successfully defended some of the largest product liability jury trials in Colorado. I have had broad expertise representing manufacturers of OEM and component parts for aircraft, asbestos, automobile, beverage, consumer product, dietary supplement, drug, farming, food, medical device, oil and gas, recreational equipment, restraint system, and trucks.Similarly, I am an adjunct law professor at University of Denver Law School, where I teach the course: "Outdoor Recreation and Ski Law." As a volunteer ski patroller for over twenty-five years, a backcountry skiing guidebook author, and an adjunct law professor who teaches outdoor industry and ski law at DU law school, I bring both practical and legal knowledge to the defense of my outdoor industry and ski resort clients. I’ve prevailed in multiple landmark Colorado state and federal court cases involving the outdoor and recreation industry.
