With over a decade of work experience, I currently serve as a Donor Relations Specialist and am passionate about fundraising as a form of organizing. I am currently working at GreenRoots, Inc., a nonprofit organization that empowers low-income and marginalized communities to achieve environmental justice and sustainability. I share the organization's vision of creating a more equitable future with better public health outcomes through community inclusion and collaboration. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team as a vocal performer, visual artist, and member of my local queer community.As a donor relations specialist at GreenRoots, I am responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners, as well as developing and implementing fundraising strategies and campaigns. In addition, I am responsible for planning staff trainings and community events including our annual Evening on the Creek fundraiser. I use my knowledge of the organization, networks, and advanced communication skills to secure funding for our robust array of programs. I enjoy combining my love for community organizing and creative passions wherever possible, and am always eager to learn new skills to grow as a professional.
