I have spent the past seven years in both public and charter school settings making transformational progress with students and leading other teachers to do the same, by developing and implementing innovative approaches that have been repeatedly held up as the model standard for meeting regional goals in areas including technology integration across the curriculum, experiential learning, literacy engagement, restorative practices and culturally responsive teaching.The educational inequality gap in our nation has vastly widened throughout the global COVID-19 pandemic. Working within public and charter school sectors, both virtually and in-person, has given me first hand knowledge in creating and implementing programs that utilize instructional strategies that have improved the quality of learning within the school. I learned about this opportunity, after searching for organizations that align with my personal vision. I strongly believe that all children should have access to a quality education and that all students can learn.
