As a project manager with David Nairne + Associates I am in charge of developing work plans, managing resources related to projects, negotiating contract costs on behalf of our clients, and ensuring the successful completion of projects to the appropriate design standards.Prior to becoming a Project Manager I was working as a Civil Engineering Technologist with David Nairne + Associates where I assisted in creating construction contracts, construction drawings with Civil 3D, collecting survey data in the field, and performing onsite inspections. I was able to successfully integrate UAV Technology into our work plans to complete projects and still collect UAV data all over BC, Yukon, and Manitoba in remote communities. Implementing this technology has been very beneficial to all projects that I have been working on because it eliminates the need to go back to site for missing information, allows other team members to see high quality aerial imagery, and provides better ways of communicating design concepts to our clients.I studied civil engineering at BCIT where I won an Award of Excellence for The Channelization of Mackay Creek in which I designed a water conveyance system capable in handling a 200 year storm in North Vancouver. Before graduating with a diploma from BCIT I worked up in Fort Mcmurray for 3 years and briefly in Kitimat operating heavy equipment in open-pit mines. I also have an array experience in general construction work doing residential renovations, everything from drainage to roofing. I am committed to applying my wide variety of experience to my job and believe it gives me a great vision on how to complete projects. Moving forward, I'll be learning and applying different methods of construction to provide the best solution for our clients needs.
