  All of the responsibilities found within this role revolve around consulting and assessing the cybersecurity of institutions to ensure that regulatory compliance conditions are followed and technical controls are strong. This role includes performing technical controls review with clients and providing reports addressing findings from performing external and internal penetration tests with vulnerability assessments, web application penetration testing, wireless network assessment, Active Directory security reviews, and password strength reviews. There are also duties to perform on-site, vishing, and phishing social engineering testing on employees to gauge the social awareness of institutional security. Most importantly, this role reviews an institution's managerial controls to assess whether they follow common cybersecurity guidelines given by NIST, HIPPA, PCI-DSS and more specific financial institution guidelines including NCUA, FFIEC, GLBA, FDIC, and FACTA. Other assessments on an institution's website compliance, social media presence, physical security, and asset risk are duties performed as well.Drafting and finalizing reports including the findings gathered and providing an objective risk assessment and remediation steps is ultimately the service provided as security consultant at E3 Technology. Other duties include having skills in completing IT maintenance and network configuration to ensure equipment is functional and updated to provide clients with proper testing.
