During my second seasonal employment at Turtle Bay as a butterfly house attendant, I was responsible for care and safety of the chrysalises and butterflies while maintaining a safe environment for the butterflies by ensuring that there were safe interactions between them and guests. I safely cared for chrysalises by hanging them and monitoring the humidity within the cases. I engaged the public by telling educational facts about butterflies and their life cycle. I was responsible for handling cash transactions from selling butterfly feedings and releases from guests in the butterfly house. I recorded all data about the butterflies into Microsoft Excel, including an accurate count of the chrysalises received from verified breeders in weekly shipments and identifying the species of butterfly in which the chrysalises belonged to. I greeted every guest with a friendly attitude and counted every guest that entered the exhibit and cleaned the exhibit for the butterflies and made it presentable for guests. I also followed USDA protocols when it came to the care and the disposal of butterflies. This season, I was also in charge of training fellow butterfly house attendants and preparing the exhibit before opening day.

During my employment at Country Bowl, my role as a snack bar cook was to take customers' orders efficiently while simultaneously preparing meals that had previously been ordered. After the food was prepared, I served the customers their food in a timely manor. I was also in charge of preparing anything that was needed in the snack bar for the next employee so that they can have a smooth shift with little preparation. I ensured that I had a clean and sanity workspace while preparing meals. I completed all my tasks and more during my shifts and carried out excellent customer service. I decided to leave Country Bowl after I found out that I had received the job position as a seasonal butterfly house attendant at Turtle Bay.

During my short employment as a cashier at Holiday Market, I was responsible for taking transactions from shoppers in the store and counting my money when I opened and closed my drawer. I also aided customers in finding specific products they were shopping for. I left this job position shortly after receiving an unexpected pregnancy complication.

While I was employed as a bakery clerk at Holiday Market, my duties included preparing all sandwich ordered that we received in the deli whether it was an in-person order, online order, or a phone order. I also had the opportunity to prepare all meals for the hot and cold food cases as a cook on multiple occasions. When I had an opening shift, it was my responsibility to ensure that the deli was stocked with meat and produce to make sandwiches and bring the bread cart to the front of the deli. When I had a closing shift, it was my responsibility to make sure all dishes that were used throughout the day were washed and put away, clean the deep fryer, gather all trash and throw it away, sweep the entire deli, and mop the floors. I left Holiday Market to focus on my college education. I was working two jobs at the time as well when I decided to put in my two weeks.

When I was first employed at Mary's Pizza Shack, I started as a hostess. As a hostess, I would greet customers at the door, seat them according to server or section number, and get their drink order if the server's needed assistance while they were helping other tables. I was a hostess for 11 months, and within those 11 months, I also became responsible for training other new hosts and hostesses. While I trained the new employees, I made sure that they understood the work flow in the restaurant, gave them real examples of situations that would happen in the restaurant, and answer any questions they had. My other duties as a hostess included clearing all dishes and trash from the table, sanitize the tables and seats, sweep the floors, and fill out the chalkboard in the waiting area in an appropriate and festive manor. After 11 months, I received the opportunity to moved up to the cashier position.As a cashier, I oversaw putting together all pick-up and delivery orders, making sure they are correct and contained all the menu items ordered, and sending them out. I was also head of making all salad orders for customers in the restaurant, and taking payment for all orders. When I had an opening shift, I was responsible for preparing salad components such as dressings and toppings, and stocking the salad bar. I also trained numerous new employees that were hired for the cashier position, exerting the same training style I had as a hostess. I was a cashier 11 months when the manager gave me the opportunity to start training as a server.As a server, I took orders for the customers that were seated inside the restaurant and entered their orders into our computers. I then would take their food out to them and clear any dishes that were in the way. I was also responsible for the transactions and payments from the customers. I was training as a server for two months when I put in my two weeks. I left Mary's Pizza Shack after I was hired at Holiday Market.
