I am a 2019 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama with an undergraduate degree in Food and Nutrition and minor in Psychology. I became interested in Nutrition and Psychology because I recognized the link between our dietary needs and the psychology behind eating. Additionally, I completed my dietetic internship with the Coordinated Program in Dietetics within the University of Alabama in May 2020 and passed the CDR Registered Dietitian Exam in July 2020. Through this program I gained 1250 hours of supervised practice and hands-on experience in the clinical, community, foodservice, and long-term care areas within dietetics. I also completed my graduate degree in Nutrition with the University of Alabama in August 2020. Completing my Master's with the University of Alabama allowed me to not only continue my nutrition education but also gain experience with qualitative research and the IRB application process.
