Jordan is an experienced engineering project and community leader. He began his career by securing a COOPship at Hill Air Force Base in the summer of his freshman year of college at the U, and gained exposure in both the electronics and the Department of Defense industry. While troubleshooting circuit card level designs, he received a thorough understanding of well-thought-out circuit design principals as well as several ways not to design a circuit. Upon graduation, he received multiple job offers, but ended up accepting a position at L-3 Communications as a Systems Engineer. Since then he has learned the value of designing for the full life-cycle of a product, and in doing so, he has earned several Awards for Excellence and Innovation while employed at L-3 Communications. He has also been placed in multiple leadership positions, including becoming one of the youngest Lead Systems Engineers on a major program at L-3 Communications, now L3Harris Technologies, where he continues to lead major programs as a Senior Project Engineer. In 2017, he saw some issues in his community and decided that he could help. He ran for City Council and was elected to a four year term and has since been reelected to a second term receiving more votes than anyone in Syracuse's City Council history. Together with his fellow City Council Members, he has been able to solve a lot of problems, including needed park updates, better outreach to the business community, and improved public safety.
