I am of Afro-Latino descent, pursuing a B.A of Communications at the University of Rhode Island with a focus on Social Media Studies. I was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. My interest in Comp Sci & Social Media was developed during high school when I helped in my schools IT department, where I mostly focused on software and effects of social media. During my time at the University, I hold/have held Community Service Co-Chair, Community Service Chair, and Treasurer for 3 non-Profit multi-cultural organizations on campus (B.O.N.D, C.V.S.A, C.W.L)I have always prided myself on making sure the youth have an advantage I may have not had, by constantly attending Summer Youth camps, Coaching, tutoring, and attending organizations that assist in youth development I wish to teach children critical thinking through coding!My end goal is to join a tech-based social media organization and develop programs that children of all ages and languages can use to get started in a similar field.
