I worked in the marketing department within the commercial sector. During my time within the sector, I was asked to undertake an extensive amount of research. I was required to provide detailed reports for example, data sheets detailing turnover and profits. As a result, I became more competent in working to tight deadlines. Therefore, I am fully capable of balancing quality and efficiency in a high pressured environment. I spent the majority of my time working with Microsoft Excel where I was able to create interactive spreadsheets for my colleagues to use. I was entrusted to conduct spreadsheets entailing either analysis of key figures of the company, or field research.

The majority of my time was spent on the factory floor working amongst large groups of people. This improved my interpersonal and communication skills on the production lines. Team work was necessary to ensure the production line would operate effectively. My main responsibility was to ensure that all the meat being packed would reach the warehouse in an efficient and organised manner. Due to the production lines being fast-paced, I had to adapt to work within a high pressured environment.

Based on the factory floor, I was working with various printing machinery. This machinery would consist of t-shirt heat presses, regular printers and I was also entrusted with working with the electric paper guillotine and the book binder. These responsibilities show how I am a quick learner and a trustworthy professional colleague. Therefore, I am capable of adapting to a variety of working environments.

I was mainly office based, working with computers on projects such as reward presentations. Part of my work experience was participating in field trips to Hemingford Locks, these routine checks would consist of photography and data recording. I analysed the collected data and produced presentations, which were shown to work colleagues.
