As a Production Control Supervisor at K&S Manufacturing I am responsible for the scheduling of shop floor orders, receiving of raw materials, and shipping of finished goods. I am developing processes to ensure optimal inventory levels throughout the manufacturing processes. I also provide reports of KPIs utilizing business intelligence tools.

As a Senior Business Analyst at Triton Trailers I am responsible for implementing process changes to better utilize the factory’s ERP system to drive increased production output and more appropriate levels of inventory on hand. I also utilized Business Intelligence programs Qlik Sense and PowerBI to supplement the ERP system with more insightful reports and visuals as well as audits to ensure data entry and parameter maintenance was being performed as intended. I was also responsible for implementing and leading the cycle count process in the factory.

As a Supply Chain Planning Engineer I was responsible for implementing and utilizing Qlik Sense dashboards to track cycle count progress and results, purchasing department KPIs, and factory productivity and output. I owned the cycle process for the factory and identified and lead projects to improve material flow throughout the factory.

As a Capacity Planner I have focused on documenting and improving SAP routings throughout various business units at John Deere Horicon Works. These efforts have led to inventory reductions and improved capacity planning capabilities. I have also built automated reports utilizing various databases, SAP HANA, Qlikview and Tableau.

As a Production Supervisor in Horicon I was responsible for the assembly of T Series and HPX Gator Utility Vehicles. I was in this role when this line first started in a new facility in 2017. During the first couple months of production I led a cross functional group through daily meetings to ensure start up challenges were being resolved. I also led projects to improve line balance, product sequence, and line design. These projects have led to releasing the team to an incentive pay plan and steadily improved productivity over the course of the first couple years.

As a Production Supervisor in Waterloo I was responsible for achieving safety, quality, delivery, and budget goals for various departments. I was also responsible for developing strategies with a salary support staff, and executing those strategies with the wage team. As a Utility Supervisor I had the opportunity to be involved with 8 different assembly lines. After approximately 6 months I had my first permanent Production Supervisor role within the 8R tracks axle assembly line and 9R PST assembly line. The 9R PST assembly line was a new assembly line that had relocated from Coffeyville, KS. This gave me the opportunity to be involved with the start up while working closely with manufacturing, design, and quality engineers. In April 2015 I transitioned to the 8R transmission assembly line. While I was supervisor that line saw a 12% productivity improvement in 2016 over the previous year due to an increase in output per day and a decrease in quality issues.

As an Inventory Analyst my primary responsibility was to improve Operational Inventory Accuracy within the 7R/8R Tractor Final Assembly lines. To do this I worked with Supply Management, third party warehouses, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Design to identify and solve inventory accuracy issues. The bulk of these stemmed from incorrect quantities being reported along the supply line, but others were results of BOM errors, assembly issues, and even problems with dealer codes. I was also able to work within a Material Flow team to help identify areas for material availability improvement.

My career at John Deere started with the role of 5S site coordinator for the Tractor and Cab Assembly Operations in Waterloo, IA. I was introduced to many lean concepts in this role, and I was responsible for helping the factory connect 5S principles to lean manufacturing principles. I was able to work with Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and Operations personnel within all business units at the factory and I was involved in 2 kaizen events within the Continuous Improvement team. I also was able to develop an audit tracking and general information website that is still used today in Waterloo.
