I am a litigator and project manager with deep roots in the public interest and pro bono spaces.I have experience in "bet the company" litigation, non-profit governance, and project implementation for industry-leading companies. Having spent half of my career working as trusted in-house counsel, I pride myself on being able to work collaboratively within large organizations to solve problems and provide clear advice to diverse constituencies. In the pro bono and public interest spaces, I currently serve as Director of the Volunteer Lawyers Program for the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands. In the past, I have advised unhoused individuals in civil proceedings and engaged with volunteer attorneys to provide non-profits in Atlanta with business legal services. I have also served on various boards, committees, and non-profit affinity groups for organizations serving the metro Atlanta region. Secured client's release from prison after client had served 17 years of a life sentence.- Prepared Petition for Writ of Certiorari to United States Supreme court for death-sentenced client in habeas corpus proceeding.- Counseled indigent clients facing eviction in Fulton County Magistrate Court. Worked as lead counsel in trial and mediation proceedings.As a commercial litigator, I have successfully developed and argued dispositive motions in federal court, including on novel issues of law. I have substantial experience litigating FCRA claims nationwide, handling workplace safety and compliance matters, advising on employment law issues, and working with risk management to reduce clients' exposure. While practicing at an AmLaw 25 Law Firm, I litigated antitrust cases, securities class action and shareholder derivative litigation, healthcare and related litigation, employment law matters, and disputes involving business torts and data security concerns.
