I am a therapist and coach committed to supporting diverse populations towards I have committed nearly two decades holding a safe and empowered space for adults, children, and adolescents to discover their human potential, heal from trauma, and develop the tools to live a life of vitality and empowerment.Wellness is about the integration of mind, body, behavior/action, and spirit. My philosophy bridges my background in the neurobiological and physical realm of the body, mindfulness, and holistic therapies including somatic, creative and drama therapies. My background in culturally aware counseling and facilitation, community building, restorative practices, experiential experiences design, coaching & training, and education are the building blocks of how I approach creating comprehensive and cutting edge integrative wellness and therapeutic spaces for humans.READ MORE ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE AND INITIATIVES...- I offer couples, individuals, and youth psychotherapy in private practice. - I am the founder and primary leader of the Drama Therapy Peer Consultation group. - I am a co-founder of Bay Area Drama Therapy Circles, a restorative practices and drama therapy workshop series for adults to gather in circle to process responses to COVID-19. - I provide coaching and workshops to support leaders, organizations and businesses in deepening their awareness of biases, positionality, identity, diversity, intersectionality, equity and inclusion. - In 2003 I founded The Door's Bustin Out Theatre Ensemble. Influenced by Theater of the Oppressed and sociodramatic play, I led youth to devise original ethnographic theatrical performances aimed to empower & build bridges between diverse communities. At The Door, I also created health and wellness initiatives, performing arts education opportunities, LGTBQAI+ support services, and career mentoring. - I hold a Creative Arts & Health certification program at The New School University and an MA Counseling Psychology and Drama Therapy. I have performed and toured worldwide as a professional singer/songwriter. Collaborations include working with DJ Simbad/Grems, DJ MITSU, SIBA GIBA, Jose James, Jordscan, and world-class producer Mark Saunders. Notable performances include Lincoln Center Outdoors, Jazz Cafe London, Billboard Live Japan, and KCRW's live broadcast of "Morning Becomes Eclectic."
