Lead Veterinary Technician - The Cat Doctor
CurrentWork in partnership with the Lead Doctor and Practice Manager to ensure an excellent experience for our clients and their pets. Manage all activities that fall under the duties of the veterinary technicians and technician assistants, including but not limited to:· Ensure the delivery of excellent care for all hospital patients.· Provide critical feedback to technical personnel and participating in reviews of said personnel.· Handle and document all disciplinary issues with involvement of Practice Manager· Participate in the hiring and managing of technical staff.· Establish and oversee training protocols for technical staff.· Schedule technical staff personnel in an efficient manner consistent with budgetary goals and hospital needs while also maintaining attendance records.· Manage controlled substances records and inventory.· Organize and manage regular tech team meetings and in-house continuing education.· Personally address complaints concerning technical staff.· Practice and promote positive working relationships and efficient and effective communication between clients, doctors, reception desk, and technical staff.· Monitor compliance with OSHA, DEA, and FDA requirements.· Develop and enforce policies and protocols.· Oversee AAHA accreditation
