As a contextual note, my time in this role was nothing less than transformational—both personally and professionally. Holding a leadership position on the ground floor of a high-volume startup cannabis company was an incredible experience, and the summary of my work provided below represents only a small sample of that experience.I began at Colorado Weedery—a startup recreational cannabis dispensary—as Assistant Manager in August 2017 just a couple weeks before its Grand Opening. In January 2018, I was promoted to the hybrid roles of HR/IT Director of Colorado Weedery, its sister medical dispensary and grow Colorado Alternative Health Care, and our concentrate product manufacturer Palisade Apothecary.As HR Director, I worked with our entire team to create the company's code of conduct, organizational structure, role descriptions, SOPs, and the vision and mission statements. I also managed payroll and scheduling for 30+ team members, and performed recruiting and evaluations. I used my strong interpersonal skills and open leadership style to effectively resolve conflicts and maintain our team’s overall job satisfaction.As IT Director, I created and successfully managed dozens of projects of varying scope including a POS system transition, migration to GSuite cloud services, implementing a compliant sales and inventory labeling system, and creating customized managerial reporting dashboards that automatically extracted data from our POS system’s SQL database. I also created advanced spreadsheet reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to track KPIs and other metrics that enabled informed decision-making in product ordering, sales and customer analysis, market analysis, Budtender sales performance tracking, inventory control, and more. Lastly, I maintained and regularly updated software systems and hardware infrastructure (networks, terminals, printers, etc.).
