I started as “business development exec” as we didn’t know what to call ourselves on day one (anyone who’s owned a start up knows as founders you are dogs bodies for the first few years). Lee looked after the tech, ops and finance, I looked after brand, sales and business dev. Together we grew an epic business. My role developed over the years and as the company grew, but these early years were incredibly informative and done on a shoe string budget. We grew a team, raised capital and brought products from an idea in Lees head to a prototype on a garage floor, to a market leading brand.
