I am a trauma and EMDR certified therapist with my clinical masters of Social Work degree. Currently on the Clinical Registry and a qualified supervisor. I specialize in eating disorder and body image work and am the clinical supervisor of the Calgary Eating Disorder Program, located across 3 hospital sites. I have a diverse private practice located here in Calgary at Your Counselling LTD and virtually in Ontario. I also have experience running an online community supporting individuals with anxiety and self esteem issues through regular content, videos and publications called @thebodyimagetherapistyyc. I have a background in work with human resources, have managed and hired large teams (15-60 employees) and practice experience with psychotherapy. My experience ranges from medical support, peer support management, work in community corrections settings, work with disabilities and senior services, to management of large teams and now counselling work utilizing psychotherapy models and psychosocial assessments. I have a wide range of abilities and work experiences and apply myself to any project I encounter and believe in. I believe in bettering the world we live in and taking care of our communities as well as education around social issues and community development. Because of this belief I did some work with the government in Colombia making English accessible to schoolchildren in Medellin. I am also a huge advocate for the facial difference community as a person with a cleft lip and palate.
