My team uniquely provides employee benefits design expertise to employers, associations, and individuals. We build and refine programs for organizations such as hospitals, associations, and academic institutions. The 5-year growth plan for BPG culminated with the acquisition of our firm by Marsh & McLennan Agency in 2015. While leading our business strategy and overseeing national accounts, I refocused BPG’s core services to more effectively cultivate new business and expand the firm’s footprint. BPG extended its client base to reach all 50 states and more than 600 cities, while building a new core team internally to support the growth and expansion of the firm.My consulting services for association, employers, and individual clients included building proprietary programs to meet the unique goals of an organization and specific populations - particularly revenue generating employees and executives. These programs spanned the range of employee benefits, such as health, dental, life, disability, and long term care insurance.The experience provided a rich education in recruiting and developing people, building new systems, and refining our service offering in order to create a scalable business model.

My inaugural launch was a mortgage bank in 2007 and the experience confirmed how much I enjoy building and growing an organization. But Mike Tyson had it right when he said: "Everyone has a plan 'till they get punched in the mouth." Even without touching subprime loans, the 2008 housing turmoil upended the lending markets and our business model. Long term the lesson in agility has served well through Healthcare Reform and market transformations in my core business.
