I am a civil/structural engineer with seventeen years of experience working as a regional manager, project manager, engineer-diver, and team leader; specializing in several areas of inspection. I'm familiar with all aspects of running a project from the proposal writing process, to project management and fieldwork, to the final report writing and plan preparation. I have performed thousands of underwater structural inspections using commercial diving techniques and numerous inspections using various acoustic imaging systems. I have also worked on various other tasks including routine/fracture critical bridge inspections, climbing inspections of ancillary highway structures, construction management/inspection, and managing design projects. This work has included the use of ultrasonic measuring and flaw detection equipment, dye penetrant, magnetic particle, and timber and concrete coring devices. The investigations I have performed include routine and emergency inspections both above and below water, as well as a large number of special inspections for various types of structures. Due to my extensive inspection background, I am fully acquainted with all means of above and below-water access and have considerable training in project safety measures. I am also NDT Level II UT/MT Testing certified, an ADCI Air Diving Supervisor, and an FAA-licensed UAS Pilot.
