In my time there, I:* Was a part of four teams that shipped an app consisting of a separated React frontend and Rails backend. On the first project I was a swing-man, officially assigned to do both frontend and backend, depending on how much work was needed on one side in a sprint. On the second project, I was officially the backend developer but ended up doing more frontend work because I finished the Rails API early. On the third project, I was officially the frontend developer and ended up doing very little Rails work. On the fourth project, I was primarily the backend developer. These each averaged about four months.* Worked remotely for over a year. Not coincidentally, this has also been the time I've produced my best work.* Was a part of a team that shipped a Node/Express backend with a React/Redux frontend. In that case, I did about 60% frontend and 40% backend. That project lasted around six months.* Was a part of a team where for three straight months, I wrote new endpoints on the API and customized the admin panel for the new endpoint, wrote the front end code to receive or give data from this new endpoint, styled it, then deployed it. So much fun. I did this using Angular, Node, and Ansible.* Was a part of three teams that shipped a Rails-only app.The last project I was on had my team and I building a React/Redux frontendbeing powered by a Rails API. Same as all my other projects, I'm did work on both the frontend and backend, usually taking features from backend to frontend to devops.
