As a certified nursing assistant, I specialize in a creating comfortable environment for seniors, focusing on enhancing their quality of life through attentive care and meaningful interactions. By providing care to seniors in their own home, I am able act as a companion and a friend to those who most often need it most.

The Perception, Attention, and Consciousness (PAC) Laboratory at the University of Florida focuses on how attention and metacognitive biases shape perception of the visual periphery, how the brain combines information from our auditory and visual modalities, and how the brain distinguishes between what is perceived and what is imagined, among other things.

As the Vice President of Communications, it is my job to maintain the public image of the Study Abroad Peer Advisors via social media platforms like Instagram and our website. The goal of these platforms is to promote study abroad at the University of Florida and to empower students who may have doubts about their ability to navigate the challenges associated with studying abroad.

- The Global Scholars Program through the University of Florida International Center is an admission-based program where students can apply to further their multicultural and interdisciplinary studies while co-enrolling in Peace Corp Prep. - The program requires two semesters of language or a study abroad excursion, three credits of an International Scholars Program-specific course, 12 credits of International courses, attendance at four campus life (global) events, as well as an ePortfolio to finish the program by showcasing all the education and experience that has come from it. - Students are awarded a medallion upon graduation from UF and this program.

I am honored to blog about my travels while studying abroad for 4 and a half months in Sydney, Australia. My hope is to not only share my journey with others but to ease to worries of future study abroad students by offering my advice and personal experiences.
