Primary responsibilities of the BIM Technician will include:Developing 3D BIM Revit modelsCreating plans, sections, and details in Revit and AutoCAD softwareWorking as team player with a group of technicians and designers of various levels and disciplines (process, structural, mechanical, and electrical) along with Project Managers and design teams to execute projects and developed detailed design drawings.Arranging necessary resources for file sharing and communication to effectively share design files across the company or with clients, sub consultants, and contractors.Maintaining strong communication with engineers and project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects and avoid any potential project conflictsQuality program compliance, including QA/QC to ensure all projects adhere to company standardsDue to the collaborative nature of coordination using BIM tools, candidates must have the ability to seek out and resolve issues through close interaction with other project team members. In addition, the candidate shall be able to maintain a positive team attitude and interpersonal effectiveness to foster and maintain an efficient and productive BIM team.

Designs fire protection systems utilizing architect generated dimensions and structural backgrounds.Performs hydraulic calculations as required.Complete stock listing for fabrication shop as required.Reviews all design drawings in detail before fabrication.Coordinates with the Design Manager on drawing schedules in conjunction with the project manager for permit and fabrication schedule.Reviews all design documents prior to submittal for permit and architect/engineer review. Stamps and signs all design documents prior to submittal (NICET/State certification required).Attends project meetings and jobsite visits, as needed. Performs site surveys as required.Documents and advises all parties of any discrepancies, unclear intent or missing information that will affect coordination or design intent.Communicates with the field foremen throughout the design process, making notes of any necessary changes made as a result of coordination.Reviews submittals for size, quantity and design to ensure they meet engineer requirements, will fit in available space, and are compatible with equipment purchased from other vendors.
