DDS is a cutting-edge data company focused on providing electrical, HVAC, and plumbing distributor clients various product data. We either scraped this data directly from the manufacturers' website or worked with them to get a product set, all with the goal of being fast, accurate, and complete.My role at DDS involved me using Python to extract product data from manufacturer websites. This included configuring Xpaths to ensure accurate reference to images and video, as well as PDF documents in the website's DOM. I used a Python script to process the collected data and get it imported into our MySQL database. Once in the database, I performed data QA analyses and resolve any inconsistencies in the data set using SQL. The talented developers at DDS have created a Data Management System to perform various tasks like categorizing products and creating filters used for search. When I was not working with Python, I was working in the DMS enhancing products which helped end users find the products they need on the distributor's e-commerce site.

Worked with software dev team on a network monitoring system product. Assessed features and made recommendations for improving UI/UX. Sketched out the foundation for the main dashboard. Used PGAdmin 3 to build SQL querries and views. Leveraged Tableau Desktop to explore and develop metrics and visualizations. Coordinated critical aspects of a fixed wireless network project. Worked with stakeholders, vendors, and contractors on pricing, scheduling, and logistics.

I investigated error logs from a Java-based web crawler tasked to find changes in an organization's privacy policies. Many times this was caused by new HTML tags. I would use Chrome's debugging tools to find unique HTML tags and would subsequently update Ghostery's database with the new tags using SQL scripts.

I was the primary source for inquiries regarding current and future growth of University of Utah's fiber optic infrastructure. I oversaw documentation and coordination of extensive fiber plant across the University.I supervised and managed staff to improve the University’s position in documentation and automated systems including GIS integration and AutoCad – including the exploration of 3D and complete path detection algorithms. I sought to improve data entry processes across various systems including an Oracle Apex web database application.I maintained detailed documentation of materials used, repairs made and installation progress using ServiceNow. I can install and terminate fiber cabling. This position helped me to develop extensive knowledge and experience with all aspects of telecommunication infrastructure.On several occasions, I created reports and analyses to drive decision making at the director level. One of my accomplishments was participating as a key member of the Fiber Network Backbone Upgrade.
