Worked with worldwide team of engineers and architects to build customized, fully-functioning proof-of-concept (POC) IoT data pipelines for enterprise-level customers. Reviewed RFPs and worked with teammates to develop a solution using Hitachi’s Lumada IoT platform, Hitachi’s Pentaho Data Integration and Business Analytics tools, and any third-party technology needed to fulfill customer’s needs.• Created proof of concept Virtualbox clusters consisting of all necessary software services that are needed to meet the customer’s functionality requirements, allowing the customer to see what Hitachi’s solution for their IoT needs would look like on the smallest possible scale.• Generated sample data based on sensor specifications provided by customers to feed into POC pipeline via Python scripts, allowing customer leads to see end-to-end functionality of the proposed system and visualize the implementation within the context of their specific needs.• Frequently used technologies included Hadoop, Apache Kafka, Zookeeper, Redis, Pentaho Data Integration, Hitachi Lumada, Mosquitto MQTT, Docker, Vagrant, and more.

Worked on the team that was responsible for developing and maintaining Marchex's Local Leads product, a platform that enables a single user to effectively run and manage SEM ad campaigns on multiple major search engines (Google AdWords, BingAds, etc.) for hundreds of clients at a time. During my tenure, Local Leads was being used to manage 5-20 SEM campaigns for more than 10,000 small business clients across the US and Canada. The platform consisted of 20+ on-prem services that were written primarily in Java (with Spring/Maven) or Ruby (as Gems or Rails applications), but a variety of other languages, frameworks, and technologies were also used.
