Manufacturing Engineering Intern
- Closely collaborated with a furnace line of over 120+ operators, leaders and managers to rapidly solve line-specific problems using 5S, lean and standard manufacturing methodologies focusing on safety, operator quality of life, quality and productivity - Created and revamped 20+ standard work and maintenance documentation alongside operators to further update and clarify daily, weekly, monthly and yearly work on machines, equipment and throughout several production lines- Actively participated in daily MDIs (Managing Daily Improvements), RIE (Rapid Improvement Events) and Benchmarks, highlighting and taking on action items to solve challenges throughout the plant- Collaborated with several departments, management and leaders to develop a new production line, increasing ergonomics, reducing operator travel by 65% through the use of various rapid experimentation, full scale mockups and effective communication
