As an essential part of the Saint Louis Zoo's growth and an advocate for our conservation programs, I work closely with development staff and senior leadership in managing a portfolio of approximately 200 major gift prospects and securing gifts of at least $10,000. I assist in developing and executing short and long-term strategies to secure annual and major gifts for the Zoo's funding priorities. Through stewardship efforts like animal encounters during behind-the-scenes tours, themed dinners and large-scale events, I advance our donor relationships in order to bring about positive changes to one of the nation's leading institutions in wildlife conservation.

-Collaborate with Development Managers and Directors in stewarding donors to recognition at Zoo exhibits.-Organize and maintain the Zoo’s permanent donor recognition and gift opportunities, including plaques, benches, and commemorative bricks.-Update donor profiles in Raiser's Edge database to reflex their recognition statuses.-Produce the presentations and scripts for the quarterly Zoo Association Board Meetings.-Create and oversee several donor publications, including donor newsletters and exhibit update brochures.-Lead current and prospective donors on behind-the-scenes tours of various Zoo exhibits.

-Generated 25% more revenue from 2011 group visit ticket sales than in 2010.-Supervised a staff of 4 in recording reservations for internal catered events (Untamed Hearts Valentine’s Dinners, Breakfast with the Bunny, Mother’s Day Brunch, and Breakfast with Santa).-Acquired orders from, produced ticket packets for, and provided Zoo information to groups of 15 or more.-Drew up contracts, scheduled payment timelines, and applied payments to client events.-Updated and supplied Director of Group Sales with weekly and yearly sales reports.

-Pitched and presented a media advisory for Papa John’s “XL Explorer Pizza” in conjunction with the DVD release of “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” - resulted in more than 87 million media impressions and sales of the “XL Explorer Pizza” and hit 32% of all sales during the week’s promotion.-Coordinated briefings with AT&T representatives and the media for EDUCAUSE ’08. -Project manager for the intern team – responsible for planning, implementing, and leading new intern orientation.-Compiled daily client news summaries and distributed them to the appropriate account teams.
